The Champ Off-Road Series 2026 Season roared to life in spectacular fashion at the Show-Me Off-Road Shootout at Lucas Oil Speedway this past weekend—and it did not disappoint.
The Greaves camp came out swinging, even without 10-time champion CJ Greaves, who continues to recover from off-season surgery. Stepping into the spotlight, cousin Kyle Greaves took on the Pro4 duties, while Robert Loire filled in across the Side-by-Side classes. Both delivered standout performances, proving the team’s depth—though CJ is already eyeing his return, hungry to chase down yet another championship… or two.
The weekend was a full-throttle reminder that the off-season is over. Engines screamed, drivers shook off the rust, and battles broke out across every class.

Pro Stock SXS
Saturday saw Loire charge from row three and hold steady under pressure, locking in a solid 6th-place finish. Sunday brought even more chaos—starting from row four, Loire stayed in the mix through a red flag incident triggered by Tom Rutkowski. A strong restart kept him competitive, but he ultimately matched his Saturday result with another hard-earned 6th.

Pro SXS
Behind the wheel of the Monster Energy Polaris machine, Loire turned up the intensity. On Saturday, he surged into the top five early and capitalized after the restart to secure a podium finish in 3rd—marking the first SXS podium of the 2026 season for the Greaves camp.
Sunday? Even tougher. Starting on row two, Loire quickly found himself in podium contention. With Krajicek applying relentless pressure, the two Polaris machines traded bumps and fought corner after corner. When the dust settled, Loire stood his ground and claimed another 3rd-place podium in a gritty, elbows-out finish.

Pro4
Saturday’s Pro4 race was pure adrenaline. Kyle Greaves launched from row two and wasted no time charging forward, while Johnny Greaves carved his way through the field from row three. A fierce battle unfolded up front with Jimmy Henderson and Adrian Cenni in the mix. Kyle briefly captured the lead before Henderson struck back, while Johnny surged into 2nd. In the end, the Monster Energy Toyotas double-stacked the podium with 2nd and 3rd in a statement performance.
Sunday delivered the weekend’s most electrifying showdown. Kyle jumped to an early lead but lost momentum after slipping on a slick section of track, opening the door for Henderson. Johnny, relentless as ever, moved into 2nd and began hunting.
What followed was a classic: Johnny vs. Henderson, door-to-door, corner after corner. With the clock winding down, Johnny made his move, muscling past into the lead. The final lap turned into a drag race—side-by-side through the last turn, engines screaming to the line. Johnny edged ahead and slammed the door on the competition, putting the iconic #22 back on top of the podium in unforgettable fashion.
Kyle fought hard in the closing laps, just missing the podium with a determined 4th-place finish.
The takeaway?
Even without CJ in the lineup, the Greaves team proved they’re still a force. And when he returns, fully healed and hungry, the rest of the field better be ready—because the championship fight is already heating up.
